The Sad Boys Robotics Club was founded by a few friends with an interest in engineering simplistic, yet powerful robots in action. The club premiered at OpenSauce 2023 with its first project “Soccerbots”, which had robot prototypes playing a game of soccer in a closed arena.

The club specializes in integrating the complex nature of communications, hardware, software, electronics, and mechanisms together to form a sturdy robot that can survive a beating in the field. The team also looks into reducing turnaround time for robot repair, understanding the components of the system and fixing any faults on the spot.
